A tabard is a sleeveless over-garment worn over existing clothing for quick role identification. Unlike a vest or jacket, a tabard slips on over whatever a person is already wearing and can be removed just as fast.
That makes them the go-to choice for wardens, marshals, first aid officers, event staff, and anyone who needs to be clearly identifiable without changing out of their normal clothes. Most tabards sold in Australia are made from polyester. We use 100% cotton because it breathes significantly better, and that matters when a tabard is being worn over a uniform, a shirt, or a jacket all day.
Polyester traps heat. Cotton lets air move through the fabric. For someone wearing a tabard over other clothing in a warm environment, that difference is felt immediately. It is more comfortable to wear for longer, which means people actually keep them on rather than taking them off the moment no one is looking.
Because we make everything ourselves, we can adjust almost anything about the tabard to suit your requirements.
We stock a broad colour range including blue, emerald green, grey, orange, white, yellow gold, pale blue, pink, brown, purple, red, and black. Colours can be used to differentiate roles across a team at a glance.
We can add 3M Scotchlite reflective tape to any tabard for low-light visibility. Useful for outdoor events, emergency response, and any application where the wearer may be operating in low light conditions.
We can change the bias binding colour to match your organisation's colours or to create a contrast detail for clearer role identification.
Warden, First Aid, Security, OH&S, and any other role title can be screen printed or heat transferred directly onto the tabard.
We can adjust sizing to suit your team. Non-standard sizes are not a problem when everything is made in-house.
Every tabard we produce is made at our Clayton South facility.
We cut, sew, and finish everything in-house. That means we control the quality at every step, and we can accommodate custom changes without the lead times and minimum order quantities that come with offshore manufacturing.

Pre-labelled with a role title and available in any colour from our standard range. Used for warden programs, incident management teams, and any organisation that needs fast visual role separation across a group.
