Power poles near roads carry two separate risks: a vehicle striking an unlit pole at night and possums and other animals climbing to live conductors and causing outages or electrocution. These have traditionally been treated as two separate jobs: an anti-climb guard for the animal risk and a delineator or marker for the vehicle risk, often specified and fitted separately.
The RF Strike Plate 960 is built to do both. At 1500mm x 400mm, it functions as a possum guard on the pole, with retroreflective sheeting bonded to the outward-facing surface for driver visibility at night. One fitting, one install, both risk categories addressed.
RF manufactures the Strike Plate 960 in white, fluorescent yellow and fluorescent yellow-green as standard. Red for left side marking is available on request.

The retroreflective sheeting component meets Class 1W classification, independently verified through NATA-accredited testing, a tested, recognised standard rather than an unverified reflectivity claim.
The 1500 mm x 400 mm plate is sized and positioned to guard the pole against possums and other climbing animals, addressing network reliability and animal safety alongside the visibility function above.
Beyond the standard AS 1742.2 colour range, the RF Strike Plate 960 can be screen printed to order for asset identification numbers, network operator branding, or site-specific markings.
RF’s screen printing is applied to genuine 3M and Orafol reflective base materials using the same process behind vehicle decals and fleet markings supplied to police and emergency services agencies.

15-year full system warranty, issued jointly by Reflective Fabrications and Orafol under the Orafol Premium Warranty programme.
Replacement sheeting, substrate and installation labour supplied at no cost where the product fails to meet Class 1W performance or shows delamination, cracking or edge lift.
Replacement retroreflective sheeting supplied at no cost. Substrate remains in service where structurally sound. Installation labour is not covered in this period.
